TikTok Pixel Not Tracking Purchases: Practical Fix Checklist

If your store has orders and TikTok says there were no purchases, stop looking at ROAS for a minute. First make sure the platform can actually see what happened.

Broken purchase tracking is expensive because it makes every decision worse. You can pause a campaign that is working, or scale one on bad feedback.

TikTok Ads Clicks But No Sales: 7 Root Causes and What to Check First

This article covers the tracking branch. Go back to the main guide if you want the full funnel diagnosis before choosing a fix.

Start with the store, not the ads dashboard

Start with the source of truth. Pull the last 7 days from Shopify or your store first, then compare that with what TikTok reports.

If the store has clear purchase volume and TikTok shows zero or almost zero, you are probably dealing with a measurement mismatch.

Checklist: what to verify

  1. Make sure the Purchase event fires on the thank-you page or on the server after the order is complete.
  2. If you use browser plus server events, check that Events API is sending and deduplication is working.
  3. Confirm the domain and pixel connection in TikTok Events Manager.
  4. Check that value, currency, and user identifiers are actually present in the payload.
  5. Make sure the attribution window matches the report you are comparing against.
  6. Look at any recent theme, app, or checkout changes that could have broken the event.

Why Shopify orders and TikTok purchases can disagree

A mismatch does not automatically mean the ads are bad. It can come from attribution settings, blocked browser events, checkout app conflicts, delayed server events, or purchase payloads that are technically sent but too weak to match back to the click.

What to do after tracking is confirmed

Once purchase tracking is healthy, then go back and judge campaign quality. That is the point where creative, landing page, offer, and checkout analysis starts to mean something.

Use the Shopify attribution page before you chase event details

If Shopify orders and TikTok purchases do not line up, start from the parent attribution diagnosis page, then use the checker once you know the mismatch is real.
